- This audio recording features the proceedings of the 9th Annual SCLC/W.O.M.E.N. Oratorical Contest. SCLC/W.O.M.E.N.'s Annual Oratorical Contest is an event in which youth give speeches about a given topic/theme. The purpose of the contest is to promote speaking ability and participation in discussion regarding issues affecting youth. In the recording, the contestants compose speeches around the topic of poverty. The recording also contains musical performances.
