- This audio recording features the proceedings of a regional 6th Annual SCLC/W.O.M.E.N. Oratorical Contest. SCLC/W.O.M.E.N.'s Annual Oratorical Contest is an event in which youth give speeches about a given topic/theme. The purpose of the contest is to promote speaking ability and participation in discussion regarding issues affecting youth. In the recording, the contestants speak about the civil rights movement, specifically the topic of voting. The recording also contains musical performances and contest winner announcements.
