- Geneva Ivey Jackson describes her childhood growing up on a farm. She talks about her favorite teachers and games she liked to play. There is some discussion of her children and their education as well. She offers her feelings about living through the Civil Rights movement and what she thought of Martin Luther King Jr. The interview ends with Jackson making a point to encourage the Spelman students to always stand up for themselves and respect their elders.
