Thomas Springbrook Farm Fayetteville, Arkansas Dear Herb, When I read of the Medical School admitting a qualified Negress this year, I felt like giving three cheers and my health began to improve immediately. My hat is off to you and your associates for having the courage to take this progressive stand in these days of Dixiecrats. I wish I could visit you and read some of your mail and I cannot help but wonder if the Boston lady wrote you again as she did last year when the Negro from Texarkanas was admitted to the University. I hope all is well with you and Ruby and your increasing family. I have gotten on my feet again and look forward to an opportunity to visit with you. Kindest personal regards.
