THE NATIONAL EDUCATION PROGRAM TELEPHONE 712 815 EAST CENTER SEARCY, ARKANSAS DR. GEORGE S. BENSON, DIRECTOR GLENN A. GREEN, ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR DOYLE T. SWAIN, ASSISTANT DIRECTOR April 18, 1958 Mr. Herbert L. Thomas, Chairman Pyramid Life Insurance Co., Pyramid Life Building, Little Rock, Arkansas Dear Herbert, I've been out of my office and just now an opportunity to write you and thank you for assetion of high quality leadership in the integration-segregation mess. You are a truly great asset to our state -- as you have demonstrated so often through the years. I've tried to give you a little personal aid to the Little Rock School Board and to Virgil Blossom but they were badly hampered by not having a plan. you've come up with something which should attract the thinking people of the state. Again my thanks on behalf of my family for supplying a calibre of leadership which is in very short supply. Cordially, [Glenn A. Green, signature] Glenn A. Green - Metadata URL:
