Civil Rights -- Internment Camps -- Japanese-Americans -- Relocation Camps -- Denson High School -- Denson -- Drew
It was in Santa Anita that I met many people from different towns in California I was working as a waitress in the Blue Mess when I was agian notified that we were scheduled to lave for Jerome, Arkansas on Oct. 14, 1942. Departing from my newly found friends was the hardest possible thing to do for I hated to leave them. I shall never forget Santa Anita and the fun I used to have. It shall always be an everlasting memory of the best fun I ever had. I am hoping that Jerome will be as nice a place as Santa Anita but I'm very doubtful. As far as my future, it seems quite hopeless. My future plans are unanswered until the war ends and I'm hoping for the end soon. - Metadata URL:
