- Andrew J. Young promoted the Immigration Service Amnesty Program during his time as mayor. The program granted immigrants the right to live in America and eventually gain citizenship. It also provided safety from deportation and protection from harassment for their relatives. In the second portion of the video, Andrew J. Young sends a congratulatory message to Jondelle Harris Johnson for accepting a new position at the NAACP headquarters with Ben Hooks.
