- Description:
- Interview with Representative Alvin Holmes about the action and accountability that he and other local African American leaders had requested after the police shooting of an African American woman in Montgomery, Alabama, on November 14. In addition to asking the city to suspend the officer and order a full grand jury investigation into the matter, they had also requested the federal government to get involved: "We have, as of late yesterday afternoon, filed a complaint and request from the Justice Department in Washington D.C., is that they make a full and complete investigation of the Montgomery Police Department for continued brutality, harassment, and intimidation against black people in Montgomery." Also included is footage of a press conference by Mayor Emory Folmar, in which he refutes Holmes's claims.
