- Description:
- They are in the office of Paul's attorney, Don Jelinek. Paul had been arrested on a trumped-up charge of grand larceny, but he and several others filed suit against the jury commission of Greene County because African Americans had been excluded from the local grand jury; Paul is holding a summary of the charges. This image was taken for (but not used in) the article "U.S. Judge Blocks Grand Jury Action" by Roberta Reisig, which appeared on page 5 of The Southern Courier for October 1-2, 1966. The issue is available online (not on the ADAH website): http://www.southerncourier.org/low-res/Vol2_No40_1966_10_01.pdf
