- Haygood led the group in a worship service on the steps of the church building after the attempt. Young was dean of students at Tuskegee Institute. This image was taken for (but not used in) the article "Church Doors Are Locked" by Mary Ellen Gale, which appeared on page 1 of The Southern Courier for July 30-31, 1966.
