- Description:
- Roosevelt Barnett is walking on the sidewalk beside the car. After the police blocked a march to the Capitol, Bradley was charged with disorderly conduct and for shouting threats; Boone was charged with interfering with Bradley's arrest. Several marches and demonstrations took place in Montgomery in June 1967. They were discussed in an article ("Marches Held in Capital") on pages 1 and 6 of The Southern Courier for June 17-18, 1967, and in an article ("Goals No Closer for Marchers in Capital") and a photo spread ("Montgomery Marches") on pages 1 and 3 of The Southern Courier for June 24-25, 1967.
