- This lesson examines life on the home front for Alabamians during War II. Students will view and analyze primary sources related to rationing, war bond drives, metal collection, USO volunteers, and home defense. After viewing and discussing the images, students will write a descriptive paragraph on ways that Alabamians supported the World War II effort on the home front.
