- Students will use a newspaper article as primary source materials to gather information about the Civil War in Alabama. Students will analyze the article and determine the point of view that a soldier from the Confederate or Union side. Students will write a letter to a family member or friend concerning the events in the article from the point of view of either a Union or Confederate soldier.
