- 'Students will watch newsreel of some event in the time period studied. ''Wilson's Visit to Mobile'' or any footage of an event in Alabama appropriate to your time period. They will pretend to have been at the event in some capacity. It could be as a worker, an onlooker, or anything with a connection to the event. Using a cell phone, they will tell one of their friends what happened and what they saw in a Facetime conversation. We will ''believe'' cell phones were available at that time, whenever it may be.'
