- Biography:
- Civil rights worker who helped recruit students as part of the Mississippi Summer Project in 1964, served as a field secretary for the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee, and worked on behalf of the Mississippi Freedom Democratic Party delegation at the 1964 Democratic National Convention in Atlantic City. He survived a bomb blast at a house he was working at in McComb, Mississippi on July 8, 1964.
