- Biography:
- Ralph Robert Rogers was a thirty-two year old English instructor at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey when he was arrested for his participation in the Freedom Rides. Rogers was arrested in the Trailways terminal in Jackson, Mississippi on 9 July 1961 after he and seven others rode a bus from Montgomery, Alabama to Jackson, Mississippi.
