- Biography:
- African American civil rights worker active in the Harlem NAACP and participated in efforts to desegregate New York city schools, Robinson was featured in the Alabama Department of Public Safety's publication, Individuals active in civil disturbances. He was the first African American president of the New York City Board of Education (1971-1972, 1975-1976) and served as a Board member from 1969 to 1978. He chaired the board's Decentralization Committee from May 1969 to April 1970.
