Richards, David Lering, 1939-
- Biography:
- Born in New York City in 1939, David Lering Richards was a carpenter in Reseda, California when he was arrested for his participation in the Freedom Rides during the summer of 1961. As part of the Freedom Ride, Richards, along with nearly a dozen others, rode a Greyhound bus from New Orleans, Louisiana to Jackson, Mississippi where he was arrested on July 15, 1961.
