- Biography:
- Edna Rhodes was a high school student in Laurel, Mississippi when she became involved in the local civil rights movement. Rhodes served as president for the Laurel Non-violent Movement and was active in the efforts to organize local sit-ins, as well as, educate and register African American voters in Mississippi
