- Biography:
- Reverend Hosea R. Rancifer, native of Brookhaven, Georgia, was arrested in Macon, Georgia, on Saturday, Feb. 9, 1962 along with three other ministers (Evans, Malone, Paschal) for refusing to move to the back of the bus, sparking a bus boycott in Macon which eventually led to the system's integration. At the time he was pastor of Center Hill church in Macon. He attended Georgia Baptist Seminary College, Georgia Baptist College, Macon Vocational School, and Morehouse School of Religion and was a minister from 1941 on.
