- Biography:
- Born in 1938, Philip M. Posner was a student at Hebrew Union College in Los Angeles, California when he was arrested for his participation in the Freedom Rides during the summer of 1961. As part of the Freedom Ride, Posner, along with fourteen others, rode an Illinois Central train from New Orleans, Louisiana to Jackson, Mississippi where he was arrested on 30 July 1961.
