Muntean, Frederick Dean
- Biography:
- Frederick Dean Muntean was a twenty-two year old student at Youngstown University in Youngstown, Ohio when he was arrested for his participation in the Freedom Rides. As part of the Freedom Ride Muntean rode on the Illinois Central Railroad from New Orleans, Louisiana to Jackson, Mississippi where he was arrested with nearly a dozen others on 20 June 1961.
