- Biography:
- David Kerr Morton was a twenty-one year old folk singer and freelance writer residing in Jackson, Wyoming when he was arrested in Jackson, Mississippi for his participation in a Freedom Ride. As part of the Freedom Ride, Morton and six others took a Greyhound bus from Nashville, Tenneseee to Jackson, Mississippi where they were arrested on 11 June 1961.
