- Biography:
- Carl A. Mills, Jr., became principal of Cary Elementary and Junior High School in 1953. When desegregation began, Mills was serving as principal of Cary High School. He also was superintendent of the Cary district for a time and eventually left education for a career in town recreation.--From Oral Histories of the American South biography.
