- Biography:
- Queens College student who participated in the "Route 40 Freedom Ride" and was the editor of the Mississippi Free Press from 1962 to 1963. Komisar worked as the National Organization of Women's public relations person and at the 1970 NOW congress, Komisar was elected vice president. Komisar is a free-lance journalist and the author of the following books, The New Feminism (1971), Down and Out in the U.S. A.: a History of Public Welfare (1973), and Corazon Aquino: The Story of a Revolution (1987).
