Biography:

Robert Lee Jenkins was a twenty-seven year old student at St. Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri when he was arrested in Jackson, Mississippi for his participation in a Freedom Ride. As part of the Freedom Ride, Jenkins and two others took an airplane from St. Louis to Jackson, Mississippi where they were arrested in the Jackson Municipal Airport on 7 June 1961.
