- Biography:
- Curtis Hayes was a field secretary for SNCC during the 1960s and worked with the Forrest County Voters League in Hattiesburg, Mississippi to promote voter registration among the county's African American population. He was arrested in Macomb, Mississippi in 1961 for his participation in a sit-in at a local Woolworth's.
