- Biography:
- Baptist minister (First German Baptist Church in Milwaukee); Milwaukee Socialist leader; and director of the Milwaukee Leader, the city's socialist daily newspaper. Born in Tübingen, Germany in 1886; emigrated to the United States in 1906. Between 1932 and 1940, Hauser was secretary to Milwaukee's Socialist mayor, Daniel W. Hoan. Principal of Hauser Homes, Inc., and proprietor of land in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where the racially segregated Hauser Homes subdivision was built.
