- Biography:
- Stephen John Green was a twenty-one year old student at Middlebury College in Middlebury, Vermont when he was arrested in Jackson, Mississippi for his participation in a Freedom Ride from Nashville, Tennessee to Jackson, Mississippi on June 10, 1961. Green went on to work as a journalist with the Christian Science Monitor and was later employed by the United Nations World Food Program.
