- "Beatrice M. Folger was born on January 5, 1903, in Lynn, Massachusetts. She received her education at the Moses Brown School in Providence, Rhode Island, and moved to Greensboro, North Carolina, in 1948. She served as an executive board member of the YWCA and as president of Church Women United. She was active in the Guilford College Art Appreciation Club and was a volunteer teacher and reader at the Friends Homes. Folger was also a published poet.
