- Baptist minister and member of the Ministers and Missionaries Benefit Board of the American Baptist Convention. Founded Koinonia Farm in Sumter County, Ga., with Clarence Jordan in 1942. It began as an experiment to establish a racially integrated Christian community and working communal farm.
