Edelman, Marian Wright
- Biography:
- Lawyer and civil rights activist. Edelman attended Spelman University from 1956 to 1960 and attended and graduated from Yale Law School in 1963. She worked for the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund in New York and Mississippi. She helped organize the Poor People's Campaign. In 1973, she founded the Children's Defense Fund.
