- Biography:
- Merlin Conoway was a religious leader and civil rights activist from Mississippi. During the civil rights movement, Conoway was active in the effort to educate and register African American voters in Mississippi. He later served two terms on the Board of Trustees for Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi. Conoway died August 6, 2005.
