- Biography:
- Gary H. Brooks was a student at Millsaps College in 1967 when he participated in a student-led protest march in May 1967 following the police shooting of Benjamin Brown. Following his graduation from Millsaps, Brooks went on to receive a master of arts in Political Science from Tulane University as well as a doctorate in Political Science from the University of Kansas. He is an ordained Presbyterian minister and currently teaches Political Science at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana.
