- Biography:
- Manager of the Monson Motor Lodge in Saint Augustine, Florida and president of the St. Augustine Hotel, Motel, and Restaurant Owners Association during the Monson Motor Lodge protests in 1964. He refused to serve Martin Luther King, Jr. lunch. Police arrested King for trespass. On June 18, 1964, civil rights activists from Albany, Georgia jumped into the motel's swimming pool for a "swim-in." In retaliation, Brock poured muriatic acid into the pool filled with protestors.
