- Biography:
- Macon-based lawyer and segregationist, born in Baton Rouge, East Baton Rouge Parish, La., October 10, 1893. A democrat, Bloch served as a member of Georgia state house of representatives, 1927. He was a delegate to the Democratic National Convention from Georgia in 1932, 1944 (alternate), and 1948 and served as a presidential elector for Georgia in 1932 and 1948. Bloch was a member of the University System of Georgia Board of Regents from 1950 to 1957. He was elected vice-president of the States' Rights Council of Georgia in 1955.
