Description
Web site companion to an exhibit about music in American life. The site covers ballads, hymns and spirituals, patriotic odes, minstrels and musicals, protest songs, and Virginiana. Each page includes several examples of sheet music and an audio file with an example of one of the songs discussed., The Civil Rights Digital Library received support from a National Leadership Grant for Libraries awarded to the University of Georgia by the Institute of Museum and Library Services for the aggregation and enhancement of partner metadata.
