Description
"The African American odyssey: A Quest for Full Citizenship", highlights what was on view in the exhibition, and what is available in the Library's African American collection. Both include a wide array of important and rare books, government documents, manuscripts, maps, musical scores, plays, films, and recordings. Based on the text of the same name, additional collections are forthcoming to this site. The portions of the exhibit that are not currently available online are: "Fine Prints and Photographs by Twentieth-Century African American Artists" and Black Business and Family Life at the Turn of the Century in the Daniel A.P. Murray Collection., The Civil Rights Digital Library received support from a National Leadership Grant for Libraries awarded to the University of Georgia by the Institute of Museum and Library Services for the aggregation and enhancement of partner metadata.
