Description
Web site companion to a radio documentary of the same name produced by American Radio Works. The site includes several slideshows documenting segregation, African American families, and segregated communities. It also contains interview excerpts and information about segregation laws from around the country.
Remembering Jim Crow is produced in cooperation with the Center for Documentary Studies at Duke University, and its Behind the Veil oral history project.
The Civil Rights Digital Library received support from a National Leadership Grant for Libraries awarded to the University of Georgia by the Institute of Museum and Library Services for the aggregation and enhancement of partner metadata.
