- Description:
- Black and white photograph of onlookers during the Chattanooga sit-ins of February 1960. Possibly on the first day of protests at Woolworth's. An African American man in a suit stood in the far right of the photograph. Several white women stood in the middle, and a few people stood with their backs to the camera in the left side of the photograph. The name "Wilson" is written on the back referring to the photographer, likely Delmont Wilson of the Chattanooga News-Free Press.
