After 5000 miles of travel, over land and sea, I arrived here after light days of exciting moments. I came here from the lovely island of Maui, and also the second largest island in the Hawaiian sland. I formerly lived in the country of Kihei. I lived there for about ten years. I graduated the Kihei grammar school in 1940 and later attended the Baldwin High School located in the district of Wailuku. i enjoyed my high school career very much and hope that I can enjoy it as much here at this center. I am 16 years old. I was born in the city of Kahului in Maui on June 7, 1926. I am also glad because he is a citizen. We have quite a large family. There are eleven of us including my parents. I have five brothers and three sisters. The youngest one is three years old. We are all Americans. I am the only one in the family who loves music and the commercial field. I love all kinds of instruments. I took up piano for this reason. I took up typing in the commercial field and I know I will like it. I llike the noise on the machine and also like typing because of my ambition in the commercial field. I hope that I will succeed in my ambitions. I have faced many unhappy incidents since my father was interned on December 7, 1941. The misunderstanding which arose among many of our friends struck us more than an earthquake. This war made me realize more about my future. I feel that I have no one to rely on but myself. I will work for my ambition in every possible way.
