He and Goreau speak about the appraisal of the items in her Chicago apartment, and the state of Jackson's taxes at the end of her life. The two try to determine a time for Shapiro to visit New Orleans to discuss the matter of Jackson's final resting place, which Shapiro has the right to authorize as the executor of her estate – 17:01. The two discuss contract rights for the story of Jackson's life, both for film and for biographical and literary matters – 18:21. Shapiro reveals that Irving Townsend and Lou Mindling have negotiated earlier contracts that would complicate film rights to Jackson's life – 19:01, upsetting Goreau as they \"could have made a lot of money.\" Goreau and Shapiro discuss Jackson's finances and investment advice they each gave to her.
