Dr. Bronsons sermon discusses the social handicaps in ministry which hinders black ministerial recruitment. He also speaks on how ITC is one of the few schools striving to change that by illustrating the improvements and successes of the seminary. The second speaker is the Honorable Richard G. Hatcher. Hatcher was the first African-American mayor of Gary, Indiana. Hatcher chooses the Biblical book of Amos to illustrate how God is upset with the church for remaining silent instead of being a force for good in society.
