Found in this folder is a comprehensive report on African American involvement and representation in motion pictures, titled, \"Report on The Negroes and Motion Pictures\" (note that \"negro\" was a common, accepted term used to call African Americans). There is also a report recounting the efforts of the Richland County Committee of the State Committee on Interracial Cooperation on some common issues faced by African Americans, as well as three copies of \"A Statement on the Race Problem in South Carolina.\" Both documents detail the lack of park and recreation areas, no representation on juries, and poor education facilities and opportunities. There is also a letter from Lillian Smith to Guy B. Other correspondence, between higher-up members like Rebecca Reid, James B.
