He shares a humorous anecdote about driving through the desert on the way to Los Angeles in a hot car because Jackson was \"afraid of air conditioning\" – 17:10. Beal also describes meeting Sidney Poitier after an appearance in A Raisin in the Sun around the time of Jackson's first Madison Square Garden affair – 23:24.
