- Description:
- WIS-TV news film taken the morning after the Orangeburg Massacre. Reporter Paul Clancy speaks about claims and counter claims regarding the presence of sniper fire prior to the shooting. (Despite statements that sniper fire was confirmed, there is no evidence that anyone in the crowd shot at officers or carried guns.) Rev. A. W. Holman, I. DeQuincy Newman, and Matthew Perry from the NAACP hold a press conference urging that the students must be protected. Protesters carrying signs march at the State House.
