- In this November 5, 1979, article from the Greensboro Daily News, staff writers Charles Babington and Linsey Gruson profile Michael Nathan and Paul Bermanzohn, two doctors and Communist Workers Party (CWP) members hospitalized after the November 3, 1979, shootings in Greensboro in which five members of the CWP were killed at a Death to the Klan rally. Both graduated from Duke University medical school and both became progressively involved in revolutionary politics, eventually joining the CWP. Bermanzohn also married Nathans` ex-wife after the two were divorced. Nathans died from his injuries on November 5.
