- Photostat negative and positive images of a 4-page document giving the history of Willtown, South Carolina, the Belin family, and Black Mingo Church, also known as Old Belin's Church. According to the history, Willtown was settled in 1698 on Black Mingo Creek and was the first village settlement in Williamsburg County. The town served as a point of trade between those on the frontier and Georgetown. Black Mingo Church was built by Cleland Belin built the church in 1843, an influential merchant in Willtown. Of particular note is the description of the relationship between religion and slavery in the town and the Belin family's ownership of slaves. The author of the history is unknown and the date is approximated.
