- Biography:
- Albert Bigelow; b. Albert Smith Bigelow, 1906; architect, illustrator, former navy commander, and Quaker; capt. of Golden Rule, thirty ft. ketch whose proposed voyage to the Eniwetok Proving Grounds in Marshall Islands in early 1958 was intended as a protest against nuclear weapons. He was on the CORE Freedom Ride in 1961 and was on the bus attacked and burned by a mob in Anniston, Alabama, May 14. He died October 6, 1993.
