- Description:
- Black and white photograph of a lunch counter during the Chattanooga sit-ins of February 1960. From either the first or second days of protest. A woman cleaned a chair in front of a "luncheonette" at a department store after it was cleared. The counter was completely empty and roped off. The name "Wilson" is written on the back referring to the photographer, likely Delmont Wilson of the Chattanooga News-Free Press.
